Why Your Business is Missing Out Without a Website (Websites and SEO Series)

Is your business visible online?
What I mean is…can someone find you on Google (or whatever)?
There’s a bunch of options to get online:
Listing directories: Google and Yelp are your besties – remember from the last topic?
Social media: Facebook, Linkedin, and other social media sites have options that allow your posts and profile to show up in Google Search.
Landing pages: A landing page is a webpage that focuses on selling one product or service.
Squeeze pages: A squeeze page is a simplified landing page that usually collects 1-2 pieces of information from visitors.
Websites: Full-blown websites can be modified to do (pretty much) anything.
(If you followed along with the last few series you should already have 1 & 2.)
What’s The Difference?
Websites have more features and offer more authoritative assets to your brand.
Landing and squeeze pages are faster to launch (no developer required) and are best used for one-page-to-one product/service.
The concept of building a site from scratch sounds awesome (and it really is)...
…But realistically, unless you’ve got the bigger brand ($20-40k/m) the maintenance is too much and it’s simpler to hire a WordPress or Wix developer.
(Or DIY using the tips throughout this series.)
Site builders on the other hand let you do DIY more simply.
Nowadays there’s a bunch of options for you if you’re choosing the DIY route (or hiring a junior dev, web designer, etc.) like Elementor, Divi, Wix, and GoDaddy.
We use Elementor to whip up websites and web pages for our clients and keep our portfolio in check.
It's our go-to tool for WordPress, with Wix as a solid second option for a vertically integrated move.
We’re here to tell you that one is not better than the other.
In general, consider:
HTML sites are simple to store and serve to visitors via hosting whereas they’re harder to edit.
Site builders are simpler to edit but tend to “bloat” code making them slower.
(None of those are massive barriers and solutions exist to fix it all.)
Speed Is A Killer
Page speed is crucial for any website.
Slow load times will cause potential customers to leave (so make sure your site is fast).
Because you’ve been such a good subscriber, you’ve definitely followed along with making your social media a priority and created your Google profile.
Now all of those have tags that let them measure activity from the source (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to your site and “attribute” actions that can later be used for ad targeting and measurement.
(See how it all comes together?)
We recommend using a tag manager like Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage and install tags on your sites to reduce the extra code while still providing measurement for all sources.
Once all this is said and done:
Traffic Source > Website > Perform an action OR Retarget > Close/Win > Get referrals
Simple, right? It only took you 5-6 different assets to accomplish!
If you thought this would’ve been harder without us, consider sharing our newsletter with a friend! Growing our newsletter keeps it free! Thank you <3
Tagging and bagging your next client is as easy as pasting the code into GTM and pasting the GTM code into your website header.

This Week’s Campaigns
Retail/E-commerce
Concept: Create a series of "How To Style/Use" reels featuring your products in various contexts. Demonstrate different ways customers can incorporate your items into their daily lives, showcasing versatility and inspiring new uses. We’d take this in a funny direction after 1-2 serious uses.
Why it works: It showcases the product's value and versatility, encouraging purchases by demonstrating how it can fulfill customer needs with, you guessed it, your product as the magic bullet.
Realtors
Concept: Showcase the lifestyle associated with different types of properties in Vegas. For example, highlight the outdoor adventure opportunities near Mt. Charleston, the vibrant nightlife accessible from condos in the Art’s District (eek), or the family-friendly amenities of suburban Summerlin.
Why it works: It connects potential buyers with the experience of living in different parts of the city, rather than just focusing on the property itself, appealing to their aspirations and needs beyond square footage.
Therapists
Concept: Offer practical, actionable advice for managing the unique stressors of living in a 24/7 entertainment hub. This could include tips for maintaining healthy sleep schedules amidst the city's nightlife (while not being a total recluse), strategies for finding quiet and calm, or ways to build a strong local support network.
Why it works: It directly addresses the specific challenges individuals might face living in this place, positioning you as a relevant and understanding resource for local mental well-being. Plus you’ll be super contactable through your social media pages!
Consultants and Coaches
Concept: Share short, impactful success stories or "wins" you've helped local clients achieve. Focus on the specific challenges they faced and the tangible results they experienced after working with you, without revealing confidential information unless they ok it!
Why it works: It provides social proof and demonstrates your effectiveness in the Las Vegas business environment, making your services more relatable and desirable to other local professionals. After all, if we didn’t have BIP projects like Quiz Taco and our consultancy, would you even trust us?
We’ll see you next week for what makes a successful website!
Toodles!
